“Metanoia means a change in one’s mind — expanding it to hold a new perspective on the world and the self. In our case, through sound, nature, and spiritual growth.”
A natural refuge in the Sierra Nevada de Santa Marta: a place to stop, breathe, and truly rest. Not a conventional hotel or a fast-paced destination, but a space built to slow down — in direct contact with the forest and the river.
Caoba is a biological reserve with over 25 years of history, born from a genuine process of reforestation and forest regeneration. The silence, the fresh air, the biodiversity — all the result of decades of caring for the land. Each stay directly supports its ongoing conservation.
We take over the entire reserve, closed to the public, so the week is ours alone.
A blend of sound, movement, stillness, and the living jungle — paced to support your rest, never to fill a schedule.

An eclectic, psychedelic, heartfelt sonic journey from the DJ booth — everyone laying on cushions, kept under 110 BPM.

Guided breathwork to calm stress and bring balance — your breath as the bridge between body and mind.

A meditative bath of gongs, singing bowls, chimes, tuning forks, and the human voice.

Energy work and daily movement in the open-air Arawana house and the House of Silence by the river.

Prompts and tarot/oracle readings as tools for self-reflection — setting intentions for the months ahead.

Guided hikes to the reserve's rarely-visited cascades and swimming holes, deep in the Sierra Nevada foothills.

It's strongly recommended for every guest. Make sure your plan covers emergency medical, medical evacuation, and trip cancellation/interruption, since travel to the Sierra Nevada can be weather-dependent and unpredictable. We point guests to the same providers across all our retreats: World Nomads (strong on cancellation and medical), SafetyWing (good value for medical and evacuation, lighter on cancellation), IMG Global (best for pre-existing conditions or higher limits), and Allianz (comprehensive, strong trip-interruption). We don't earn any commission from these — compare and choose what fits you.
Don’t wait any longer to embark on a journey of self-discovery and transformation. Apply by email and we’ll be in touch to find the arrangement that’s right for you.
